Damascus is a type of steel with visible inhomogeneities on the surface, most often in the form of patterns obtained as a result of repeated reforging and twisting of a steel package. It has good cutting properties, hardness 61-63 HRC, requires maintenance, store by wiping with oil after taking it out of the sheath.
